Public Notice: Federal Government Funding Restored for SNAP & WIC Benefits
Due to the end of the government shutdown, most federal government operations will be funded through January 2026. SNAP & WIC benefits will be funded through September of 2026.
Aitkin County staff continues to process applications and provide assistance for SNAP, WIC, and MFIP programs. Benefits will be issued as scheduled.
You may apply for SNAP, WIC, and MFIP at any time. County staff will accept applications, gather required verifications, and conduct interviews to process your case.
